Russell is Principal of Projectum and a ProjectOutcomes Certified Workshop Facilitator.

Academic background

Graduated in Civil Engineering from Swinburne University in 1975.  Completed post graduate studies in Legal Aspects of Contracts, Contracts Administration and Building Claims.  Graduated from the AGSM with an Executive MBA is 2003.  Currently undertaking a Master of Project Management Degree at the ANU.

Industrial experience

Started out as a Civil Engineer and worked for five years on major projects in Qld, PNG and the Northern Territory with some of the leading national constructors including Barclay and Thiess.  Spent two years overseas in Asia and the Pacific in Project Management roles and later returned to Qld and the ACT to manage large mining and civil engineering projects.  Progressed to a branch manager role with Roche in Canberra and in the early 90’s set up a construction business in Qld.  Moved into project management consulting in the late 90’s and in 2000 became Business Director of Federal Government contracts with IT Outsourcer Advantra.
