Hierarchical decomposition The recursive process of describing a concept by breaking it into smaller concepts. Two important models of a project obtained from hierarchical decomposition are:
  • The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • The Product (Outputs) Breakdown Structure (PBS).

HR plan A comprehensive model of the internal labour demanded from the sponsoring entity by the project’s WBS. Refer also acquisition plan and resource plan.
